Gregory Taylor is a retired Materials Manager from Philips Healthcare. Gregory worked at Philips in materials management, supplier management, and purchasing where he was responsible for multi-million dollar purchasing and inventory asset budgets.
Gregory co-created and implemented a Simplified Supplier Management Process that was described by APICS as "Cutting Edge". This process was the subject matter of one of his presentations he gave at APICS International Conferences.
To help manage the multi-million dollars worth of inventory assets, he implemented the Inventory Quality Ratio process. Gregory wrote program specification logic and provided all of the training for the widely accepted best practice in inventory management.
He is an accomplished 20-year veteran of domestic and international business negotiations, and has 30 years of experience working in manufacturing. He has presented at APICS international conferences on supplier management topics. He has also presented numerous times at local professional development meetings and in university classrooms on materials management and purchasing subjects. He has been previously published in APICS Magazine, Remanufacturing Quarterly, and The Best of Remanufacturing Articles Book.
